Taking inspiration from childhood narratives to create memorable art.

The essence of art can be perceived in two distinct ways: firstly, through the lens of the artist's perspective, where their unique expression combines both the artwork and the artist with equal significance. Secondly, art transcends mere personal experiences, offering unexpected insights and narratives.

As children, we were enthralled by the captivating tales of Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Bhagiratha. Puppetry, with its rich history spanning over 3000 years across diverse cultures worldwide, catalysed bringing these stories to life through art.

In India, puppetry has long been intertwined with cultural narratives, depicting tales from epics like Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Kathasangama. However, contemporary trends reveal a decline in traditional art forms like puppetry, with modern entertainment media overshadowing them. Similarly,

skateboarding, once a prevalent art form, has witnessed a decrease in participation among artists. Psychologists emphasise the importance of visual arts in shaping children's future, yet the decline in traditional art forms is evident in today's society.

Through my artwork, I aim to preserve the timeless narratives of ancient stories, bridging the gap between tradition and modernity. It is my endeavour to keep these stories alive and vibrant, ensuring that they continue to inspire future generations.
